The Joburg Crisis Alliance hosted its sixth Summit since its establishment in 2023 on 10 May 2025 at Wits University. The Summit focused on the participation of the JCA in the Joburg Presidential Working Group (JPWG). The Presidency made a presentation to the Summit on the structure, functioning and objectives of the Presidential intervention. The Summit was also adressed by the SANEDI Chairperson on the debt dispute between Eskom and the City of Johannesburg. The Summit conditionaly endorsed the ongoing participation of the JCA in the JPWG
