The Joburg Crisis Alliance (JCA) has called on the City of Johannesburg to urgently address the massive backlog in road and sidewalk reinstatements—over 10,700 outstanding by the end of 2024. Delayed repairs pose serious safety risks and contribute to the city’s deteriorating appearance. The JCA is demanding greater accountability from the Joburg Roads Agency and plans to raise the issue at upcoming Presidential Joburg Working Group meetings.
